International Business Development Manager (14580)

Location:  Fully remote plus frequent international travel

The Role:

“Delivering a clear long-term expansion plan for international partnerships.”

Responsible for developing a clear long-term expansion plan for international partnerships, robust market and partner due diligence, commercial terms which are conducive to sustainable long-term growth, and carefully coordinated, well-executed market launches.

This role works in close partnership with the Franchise, Global Distribution, Strategy, Operations, and Commercial teams as well as many other internal functions. The role will also interface with senior representatives from existing and potential new partners.

N.B. This role is fully remote with frequent international travel. We will positively consider applicants from anywhere in the UK.

Key Accountabilities

Long term growth plan

  • Maintain the long-term partnerships growth plan for both existing and new markets to ensure that a clear plan exists to deliver our offline and online long-term international growth aspirations through partnerships
  • Leverage deep understanding of international health and wellness markets, partners, customers/competitor trends to ensure that the long-term plan reflects and maximises the international opportunity

Market due diligence

  • Conduct detailed desktop and on the ground research on all target markets and become the business expert on these markets/regions/channels, drawing on both quantitative and qualitative research

Partner selection

  • Operate as the face of the H&B brand in target markets or with target partners, including maintaining the new market “brand brochure”, utilising the latest brand assets and heads of terms

Commercial terms

  • Ensure commercial terms deliver the outcomes sought by H&B and result in sustainable long-term partnerships

Operationalise new markets

  • Project manage new market set-up to ensure H&B and the partner meet their obligations for market set up

About you

  • 3 plus years' experience in International retail or consumer brand strategy and business development
  • Track record of developing and delivering a clear international growth across multiple markets
  • Demonstrated negotiating and securing sustainable commercial terms on new high-value ventures in multiple markets
  • Able to operate at business owner and Exec level both within H&B and with partners
  • Highly developed commercial acumen and analytical capability
  • Financially savvy with clear understanding of P&L management & business planning
  • Developed external network in multiple markets
  • Cultural awareness, ideally across Asia, Europe and Middle East
  • Channel experience, ideally across Stores, shop in shop and ecommerce
  • Passion for Health & Wellness
