The Role:

As PR Manager you will be instrumental in the development and activation of insight-led PR campaigns, with clear objectives for the Holland & Barrett brand, its products and services. Reporting to the Head of PR, the role involves developing and activating campaigns to share our news and stories with media and influencers.  This covers consumer and corporate media relations, content creation, event management, talent management, creative writing and crisis management.

As part of a busy press office, you will handle a mix of reactive and proactive communication, ensuring positive coverage for Holland & Barrett and our brands therefore you will possess excellent written skills with a flair for creative communications and content, including quotes, statements, press releases, speeches, briefing notes and reports.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Devise and deliver end-to-end PR strategies, ensuring work is insight-led and aligned to wider business objectives
  • Lead and develop the always on PR strategy to drive engagement and awareness amongst media and influencers
  • Develop a close working relationship with broader marketing and trading team colleagues, driving the delivery of fully integrated, collaborative and strategic campaigns
  • Build strong external relationships with our agency partners, managing them to deliver consumer and corporate PR campaigns, driving fame for the H&B brand and its own brand products and services, aligned to our strategic approach
  • Manage and produce PR related content, working alongside content and SEO teams to create compelling and newsworthy assets
  • Manage the relationship with our monitoring and analysis agency, taking learnings on board to inform future planning, confidently sharing insights and PR's impact with stakeholders across the business
  • Oversee work of junior team members to ensure they are delivering on time and to a high standard

 

The Person:

You'll be a passionate and collaborative PR communications professional with experience of working on large consumer brands or in a fast-paced retail comms environment.   With experience of leading and delivering integrated PR campaigns you will also be able demonstrate you have worked cross functionally with marketing teams in order to deliver integrated marketing campaigns.

  • Possess an in-depth knowledge of the evolving UK media landscape 
  • Resilient and able to work calmly and effectively under pressure and to deadlines
  • Brilliantly organised with a passion and curiosity for health and wellness
  • Creative thinker with a can-do approach
  • Excellent communication skills – you will need to be an expert in building relationships both with your agency and internal stakeholders and will have the ability to influence at all levels
  • A people-first approach to leading a team
  • Be flexible to travel to London for meetings (1-2 times per month)
