The Role

As a Supply Chain Planner, you will be accountable for the end-to-end supply chain and inventory planning for several supply chain projects such as NPD and RIRO. You will need to coordinate cross functionally with Manufacturing, Distribution, Merchandising, Category, Store and Online teams to ensure the successful and on time delivery of key project milestones.

The key accountabilities for the role are:

  • Supply Planning for several strategic, business critical, projects
  • Coordination of supply for both in-house manufactured and 3rd Party co-packed finished goods.
  • Monitor availability and inventory levels for finished goods and bulk materials.
  • Reporting of supply risks and shortages.
  • Drive inventory reduction and optimisation activities to ensure targets are met.
  • Liaise with warehouse and manufacturing facilities to manage stock queries.
  • Produce various forecast and planning reports to support planning activities and provide visibility to senior stakeholders across the business.
  • Manage complex forecast/planning datasets to successfully oversee the relaunch / replacement of products through RIRO.
  • Drill into and extract information from various data sets.
  • Use tools and techniques to visualise data in easy-to-understand formats, such as diagrams, charts, and graphs.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders to fully understand requirements and provide collaborative solutions.
  • Support the Supply Chain Projects Manager in areas of systems design, execution, and reporting.
The Person

People Skills:

  • Ability to work cross functionally – key liaison between wider Supply Chain team, Trade Planning, Merchandising, Category.
  • Ability to question and challenge – not to accept the status quo.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills to develop strong relationships, both internally and externally.
  • Highly organised and motivated. Able to prioritise and allocate time effectively.
  • Diligent in completion of tasks and projects.
  • Attention to detail. You will have an eye for spotting problems and ensuring information is accurate and communicated clearly.

Technical Skills and Experience:

  • A strong understanding of retail supply chains with at least 2+ years' experience. Some understanding of manufacturing processes and production planning desirable.
  • Strong analytical prowess with advanced excel skills.
  • Experience of managing NPD and RIRO projects.
  • Ability and appetite to work to bring the best out of legacy systems and processes whilst supporting and driving change and continuous improvement projects.
  • Experience of working with WSSI or other MRP planning tools.
  • In house ordering and replenishment systems – AS400, POGO, Moomin.
