The purpose of this role is to manage inbound purchase orders to ensure we maintain the required availability of product.

The role is responsible for ensuring we maintain target availability across a designated category for in store and online, guaranteeing great availability every day and ensuring promotions and new ranges availability are landed and maintained at the required levels. The key accountabilities for the role are:

  • To manage the open order book ensuring purchase orders are prioritised to minimise out of stocks.
  • To ensure vendors deliver to the required timescale and in full.
  • To ensure promotional availability is delivered to the required levels.
  • To ensure range review availability is delivered in a timely manner to ensure success.
  • To manage PO's and ensure they are closed in a timely manner.
  • To maintain key documents with up to date and current information i.e., open order book.
The Person

 

  • Ability to work cross functionally – Category teams, warehouse
  • Ability to create effective relationships with vendor base
  • Ability to create effective relationships with the wider replenishment team, ensuring best practise is met and maintained across the function.

Technical Skills required

  • Intermediate Excel skills.
  • In house ordering systems – AS400, POGO.
  • Interpretation and manipulation of data.
